Jeanette Kirsch, born 1969 in Berlin, percussionist, free-lance musician, certified educator.
I began with African drumming in 1988 and since then have learned and come to appreciate a wide variety of teaching and playing techniques from European and African drum teachers.
Since 1993 I have been offering drumming classes and workshops for children, adolescents, and grown-ups - in Berlin as well as in other German cities.
In 1994 I co-founded the women's percussion group PERCUSSONIA (concerts, festivals, CD-productions), and I have been active in various music projects for many years now.
My vocational training as an educator, years of working in the social area, and a number of different training courses like remedial music education and impro-theater have definitely shaped me just as much drumming and dancing visits to Africa.
