Jeanette Kirsch

Jeanette Kirsch, born 1969 in Berlin, percussionist, free-lance musician, certified educator.

In 1988 I began with African drumming and since 1993 I have been offering drumming classes and workshops for children, adolescents, and grown-ups - in Berlin as well as in other German cities.

In 1994 I co-founded the women's percussion group PERCUSSONIA (concerts, festivals, CD-productions), and I have been active in various music projects for many years now.

I discovered my passion for African dance in 1998 and so to speak switched position from accompanying the dance (bass and groove for several dancing teachers) to being a dancer (with Carmen Issler, Monica Toimil, Norma Clair, Elsa Wolliaston, and others) and then later on becoming a dancing teacher myself.

Since 2000 I have regularly been offering Afro-move classes and workshops.
